Our journey of compassion and empowerment
Creating Change Through Action

One aspect of this journey particularly struck us—the additional violation and humiliation faced by survivors when they are asked to relinquish their undergarments for evidence. It was a stark reminder of the lack of dignity afforded to survivors, even in moments of immense courage.

Determined to make a difference, we set out on a mission to provide hope and comfort to those who need it the most. Drawing upon our backgrounds in design, activism, and social work, we began creating undergarments specifically tailored to the needs of survivors. These simple garments serve as symbols of hope and solidarity, offering a tangible reminder that they are seen, heard, and always worthy.

Recognizing the Need

The Haven Project was born out of a shared belief in the inherent dignity and worth of every individual, especially those who have endured the trauma of sexual and domestic violence. It all began with a simple yet profound realization: that the journey to healing should be accompanied by comfort, dignity, and a sense of empowerment.

As we delved into the statistics and stories surrounding sexual and domestic violence, we were confronted with a staggering reality: 1 out of every 4 women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape. Behind each statistic lies a deeply personal and often harrowing journey of pain, fear, and resilience.

Building a Future of Hope and Healing

Through partnerships with facilities and organizations dedicated to supporting survivors, we have been able to donate these undergarments to those who need them most. Each donation represents a small but powerful step towards healing and empowerment.

At The Haven Project, we are committed to providing survivors with the support and resources they need to heal and rebuild their lives. We believe that everyone has the right to live in a world free from fear, trauma, and abuse. Our work is driven by this belief, and we remain dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of survivors everywhere.

Join us on this journey as we strive to create a world where dignity, compassion, and justice prevail.

I've dedicated my career to breaking down barriers and advocating for social justice within educational institutions. My passion for equity extends beyond the classroom. I firmly believe that equity, inclusion, and belonging should be woven into the fabric of our society, and this belief has led me to collaborate with various non-profit organizations dedicated to helping those who have experienced trauma. That's why I'm proud to support the incredible work of the Haven Project, as it aligns with my belief that everyone deserves dignity , respect, and the opportunity to heal.
